Calypso Daze

After successfully completing the 3rd year of my undergraduate degree, I have been wriggling to work on some projects I'v had in the mix for awhile now. This past semester I was involved in an annual magazine Frock Paper Scissors which brings a QUT fashion journalism subject to life. As a contributor to the magazine, I styled and directed a fashion shoot.

My main inspiration came from the idea of conscious, carefree styling and paying homage to the 1960's Brazilian artistic movement 'Tropicália'. The tropicália movement encompassed all that popular and avant-garde and a fusion of the traditional and psychedelic Brazilian culture with foreign cultures such as the American hippie movement. I was fortunate enough to include some pieces from some amazing local up and coming designers and some of my own designs FAZIO by Adeline Conti, which I will share some more about soon...

Head over to Frock Paper Scissors online to read the mag online and check out some great online content. While your there check out my first published article 'Veiled Identity' too.
